In memory of M_r. Rufus Porter who departed this life July 9_th 1790. He was born in Biddeford July 14_th 1778 and was the oldest son of Doctor Aaron Porter of that town.

- A two-line border defines the tympanum's top.  This border rests on two round stands.
The tablet section is bordered by a similar width two-line border.  Inside the border, the tablet's edge is beveled.

- The tympanum has two design elements.  An ornate decorated urn is in the center and mounted on a stand.
The willow tree is bent to frame the urn and the space.
