HERE LYES Y_e BODY OF M_r TIMOTHY CLARK AGED 48 YEARS AND 3 MONTHS DIED AUGUST Y_e 10_th 1725
- Surveyed On
- May 22, 2023
- Stone Type
- slate
- Border
- There was a two-line border around the circumference of this stone but time and the significant damage the stone has experienced have lost a lot of those details. The illustrated panels bordering the tablet section cover three sides. The illustration is two flowers that begin in the upper corners and meet in the middle of the bottom panel. The flower is depicted as a two segment circle with a dot in the middle. The stems and leaves are abstractly etched in a flowing manner.
- Remark
- This stone is embedded in a concrete frame. Time and human interaction has cracked it into 5 pieces.
The tympanum is under the two-line outer border. The skull is lightbulb-shaped and is larger than others. The eye sockets are oval and the nasal cavity is triangular. The teeth are in two neat rows of rectangles. The wings on either side of the skull are in four layers.
- Physical Status
- straight cracked
